The Champions Programme:

Heartshine offers a unique training program for community youth (ages 20–30) to empower them to advocate for the use of creative arts and mindfulness practices in their communities as a first step toward addressing the traumatic impact of crime, violence, and poverty.

The ECD Teacher Training Programme:

Heartshine partners with ECD Forums to provide specialist training for ECD teachers on the effects of trauma on young children, along with a curriculum that fosters emotional development and enhances the capacity for learning.

The activities we offer consist of:

Creative Art Therapies

ArtMusicDrama and Dance are all powerful and expressive activities that can help restore emotional equilibrium and aid participants in processing and moving forward from lived trauma experiences.

Mindfulness Based Practices

Meditation, mindfulness practices, breathing exercises and personal growth coaching all help to balance the nervous system which enables receptivity for learning and growth.

  • Community Champions Programme
